Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information OnlyCasts, run by 7sixty3, LLC, collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers people who have an account (podcasters), people who visit our site, and people who listen to a show hosted on OnlyCasts.

• Account details: your email address and any name or show details you enter.
• Your shows and files: the audio, video, artwork, titles, descriptions, host names and photos, and other material you upload or import.
• Billing details: your plan, add-ons and payment status. Payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
• Use of the service: storage used, downloads counted, imports and exports you start, and actions you take in your account.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form, the name conflict form or a copyright notice.

When someone plays or downloads an episode, our servers record which episode was requested and when. To count downloads once and filter out automated traffic, we also use the listener's IP address and user agent (the name of their app or browser). We turn those two values into a one way hash and keep the hash, not the original values, in the download records.

Listeners do not need an account, and we do not build advertising profiles of them or sell data about them. Raw download records are deleted after 90 days. Only daily totals per episode are kept after that.

Our servers keep technical logs that include IP addresses, the pages and files requested, the time, and the type of browser or app. We use them to run the service, keep it secure, limit abuse and fix errors. Our sign in, contact and notice forms limit how often they can be used from one address, which needs the address to be checked briefly.

• To provide the service: host your files, publish your feeds and show pages, count downloads and show you stats.
• To bill you and manage your plan.
• To send you sign in links, receipts and notices about your account, such as storage, billing or file removal warnings.
• To respond to messages, copyright notices and legal requests.
• To protect the service and its customers from abuse, fraud and security problems.
• To understand how the service is used so we can improve it, using totals and not profiles of individuals.

We send product news only to account holders, and each message has a way to stop it.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run OnlyCasts, and only as needed for that:

• a payment provider (Stripe), to process payments and manage subscriptions;
• an email delivery provider (Amazon Web Services), to send sign in links and account email;
• cloud hosting and storage providers (DigitalOcean), to run the service, store files and keep backups.

Your podcast feed, show page and episode files are public by design, so anyone can see what you publish there. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to protect rights, safety or property, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case we will tell you.

We use a small number of cookies, described in our Cookie notice. We do not use advertising cookies or third party analytics cookies on OnlyCasts.

• Account and show data: while your account is open. After a plan ends, files are removed about 60 days later. If you delete your account, you have 30 days to restore it before it is permanently deleted.
• Replaced files: kept for the recovery period of your plan so you can undo a replacement, then removed.
• Raw download records: 90 days. Daily totals are kept.
• Billing records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Messages and copyright notices: kept as long as needed to deal with them and to keep a record of the decision.
• Backups: removed files may remain in backups for a short time until they are overwritten.

You can see and edit most of your information in your account. You can ask for an export of your files from your account, and delete your account there too.

You can ask us through the contact form to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where the law gives you specific rights, within the time the law sets. We may need to confirm it is really you first.

Residents of some states, such as California, have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what we collect, to delete it and to correct it, and not to be treated worse for using those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

OnlyCasts is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.

We use encryption in transit, restrict access to personal information to the people who need it, log staff actions on accounts, and limit and monitor sign in attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

OnlyCasts is operated from, and offered to people in, the United States, and your information is processed and stored here.

We may update this policy. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in your account before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
